Donald Trump forms a new partnership
with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi
by Nathan'ette Burdine: September 10, 2017

Welp, it looks like ol’ Donald Trump has found himself some new friends to play with in Washington D.C.

Donald Trump played “Let’s Make A Deal” with fellow New Yorker and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in order to keep the government open for a whole three months.

The deal includes raising the debt ceiling and providing more money to help Hurricane Harvey victims down in Texas.

The Democrats are all smiles, while the Republicans have that upside down.

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) was so mad about the deal between Trump and the Dems that he told everybody that the deal is “ridiculous and disgraceful” and that the Democrats “were playing politics with the debt ceiling.”

Trump and his crew, however, aren’t fussing over the Republicans haterade about how he kept the government open.

With the Republicans, Trump’s been losing on big legislative issues like healthcare.

Hell, it was the Democrats, plus three Republicans, that gave him the political death blow of ending any chances of getting rid of Obamacare.

So right now, ol’ Trump is saying to himself, “What the hell?! If the minority in Congress has that much power, why not join with them.”

Besides, Trump knows he got into the White House not because of the alt-right haters alone.

But, he got there because of the moderate folks, educated folks, women folks, and Bernie dudes and gals.

And if he can join with the Democrats and move some of those moderate folks, educated folks, women folks, and Bernie dudes and gals back over to the Dems and help them take control of Congress, ol’ Trump there can be winning all day and night long.

Because now, that 35% of his base plus the Republican leadership just won’t do.

The Dems and their party leadership, on the other hand, have done. The deal the Dems brokered with Trump is already producing dividends for him.

The Republican led Congress voted overwhelmingly to pass the Democratic supported bill, which Trump signed into law on Friday.

So yeah, the ol’ saying, “If you can’t beat ҆em, join ҆em.” And that’s exactly what ol’ Trump is doing with the Dems, he’s “joining them.”

He’s already hinted that he’s willing to work with “Chuck and Nancy” on finding a permanent fix for the immigration mess.

While on Air Force One, Trump said this about working with “Chuck and Nancy” on finding a solution for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, “Chuck and Nancy would like to see something happen and so do I. And I said if we can get something to happen, we’re gonna sign it and we’re gonna make a lot of happy people.”

Yep, President Trump wants to work with fellow New Yorker and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and not Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI), on fixing DACA.

And why not, the Dems have already given Trump his first actual big legislative win with the raising of the debt ceiling; preventing a government shutdown over that wall that Mexico’s never going to pay for.

The one thing we all know about Trump is he likes to win. And he’ll stick with the winner as long as they continue to make him look good. And if the Dems can help Trump to keep winning, he’ll stay with them.
