Oh, bummer! Richard Lewis tweeted that a back and shoulder surgeries have benched him for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 11.

This is like that time when Jordan and Pippen first split up. Don’t get me wrong, now, I still watched the 94-95 Bulls because I was a fan. But, there was a hole in my heart and tears in my eyes because without the Jordan-Pippen duo my team wasn’t whole.

And that’s how it feels without Lewis on the upcoming season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Like Jordan and Pippen, David and Lewis bring out the best in each other and the whole team.

Take for instance the surprise look Lewis had on his face when he saw LD, Jeff, Funkhouser (may he rest in peace), and Leon leaving the strip club where he told them that his girlfriend was dancing. There was also the time when Lewis went all drama queen about LD sending a text about his dead parrot. And oh yeah, who can forget here recently the deer in the headlights look Lewis gave after LD stumble upon his golf club in Lewis’ bag after he, LD, managed to stop a crazy Jets fan from stealing the golf clubs out of the trunk of Lewis’ brand new Bentley which, by the way, LD told Lewis he needed to return.

Yup, Richard Lewis will be sorely missed this season. But you know the ol’ saying, “Gone today, back tomorrow.” And hopefully, there will be a Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 with Richard Lewis getting back in the game with the rest of the gang.

Curb Your Enthusiasm began filming during the early part of December 2020. Some of the regulars who, along with Larry David, have been seen on set are Jeff Garlin, JB Smoove, Cheryl Hines, and Mocha Joe (Saverio Guerra).

The airing of Curb Your Enthusiasm will more than likely occur sometime during fall 2021.

The show airs on HBO, usually around 10:30PM EST. And like Richard Lewis, I will be watching whenever it comes on.
